Beyonce and Katie Couric on 20/20

Since Beyonce revealed her pregnancy news to the world on MTV’s Video Music Awards, the world has gone crazy with rumors and talking about the baby bump.

Beyonce finally addresses these rumors in an interview with Katie Couric on “20/20.” From the fluctuating baby bump size, to the rumors of the sex of the baby, and what made her choose to reveal her pregnancy at the VMAs is discussed in this interview.

When asked about the rumors, about the due date and how she’s been dealing with the pregnancy, Beyonce said,

“The truth is, it’s safety. I just want to make sure I can have a peaceful day. And I want to make sure my child is protected. There are things that are so far out…It doesn’t even upset you.”

When Couric asked how hubby Jay-Z took the news and how he has been with her being pregnant, Beyonce gave an adorable answer that would have any fan of the couple smiling.

“You can only imagine, and multiply that. It’s very exciting for both of us and everyone in our families. Everyone is so anxious, it’s like the time just can’t come fast enough. “

Couric also touched on Bey’s decision to announce such big news on an award show.

“After the announcement I just felt free. I really did, because I had been holding the most exciting thing in for so long, and I just felt like, Wow, now I can enjoy and now I can experience this the way that every woman should. So I felt so liberated, and I felt like ‘Oh’, I can breathe and be happy. And, you know, it was a beautiful feeling… I went straight off the stage and just cried. I hugged my mom and I hugged Jay, and I just cried. It was a beautiful day.”

The interview gave viewers a soft warm feeling about Bey and her pregnancy. She addressed the nonsense rumors and did it in a way that was typical classy Bey. This interview was very necessary yet also enjoyable to watch.
