Merida from Disney/Pixar's Brave

What is it about Disney movies that makes children and adults alike fall in love with them? Pixar’s newest movie Brave hits theaters this weekend; you’ll be sure to fall in love with the scenery of Scotland along with the fashions inspired by Pixar’s first heroine: Merida.

Green is definitely the color. From the beautiful hills of the Highlands to the garbs Merida flaunts, green is the must go-to color. Try this dress from Modcloth. The two toned look gives the battle inspiration while remaining cute and girly. If you don’t want to go all out, then draw inspiration from Essie nail polish.  Mojito madness gives you the fun color of green that can be worn throughout the summer.

Arrows are another great way to be ‘Brave’. Merida’s true dream is to be a warrior and the bow and arrow is her weapon of choice. It’s time to bring out your jewelry from the Hunger Games or add some new weapons to accessory arsenal. These tiered arrow earrings from Forever 21 are simple enough to wear with anything but composed in a way that will have people asking you where you bought them. For less than five dollars, this accessory is worth the steal. This bracelet from Etsy is the perfect nod to the fierce Merida while still being soft and classic.

Are you inspired by Merida’s style? Either way, Brave looks like another Pixar must see. See for yourself!
