I know what you’re thinking… Audrey Hepburn? Why is there news on someone who currently only exists on the small screen? Well, the Breakfast at Tiffany‘s starlet may have passed away in 1993, but not according to Galaxy, a UK chocolate brand. In fact, she has landed a new role from beyond her grave, becoming the latest face for Galaxy chocolate.

Galaxy’s latest ad takes a scene from one of Audrey’s many accredited films, Roman Holiday and appropriates it for their commercial, in which Hepburn, stuck in a traffic jam whilst touring an Italian town on a bus, tempted by a Galaxy bar from her bag. She suddenly sees a handsome stranger in a car next to her, and leaves the bus and joins him. As they zoom off, she takes a bite of a Galaxy chocolate bar and leans back with satisfaction.

Well obviously, chocolate wasn’t a feature in Roman Holiday, but the editing certainly made it seem like it was. Despite the creepiness level of seeing a presumably dead actress advertising a contemporary chocolate bar, I think it is quite fitting that they decided to feature Hepburn, as her sons, Sean Ferrer and Luca Dotti, stated that their mother “often spoke about her love of chocolate and how it lifted her spirit”.

Thoughts? Personally, it makes me want to re-watch the actual movie that this commercial features. And of course I can’t leave out my personal favorites: Breakfast at Tiffany’s and How to Steal a Million.

Thoughts? What are your favorite Audrey movies?
