Asher Roth

According to Shawn Pecas, the Vice President of Lifestyle, Promotion and Marketing for Island Def Jam, Asher Roth is now a member of the Def Jam family. Roth is best known for his song “I Love College.” The deal was announced officially on November 22. Roth tells billboard.com that signing a deal with Def Jam marks a “win-win for everybody.”

Roth was once signed with Steve Rifkind at SRC Records. It is not clear if Roth will ever work with SRC Records again.

Asher Roth is currently working on his sophomore album and the first album under his new record label. The album is set to be release in March under the title “Is This Too Orange?” Roth will satisfy his many awaiting fans by releasing a mix tape entitled Pabst and Jazz said to be released on December 21.
