Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan, members of the group Karmin first landed in the public eye when they uploaded a cover of Chris Brown’s “Look At Me Now” on YouTube in April of 2010. The video immediately went viral, taking in millions of views. Fans marveled at Amy’s impeccable voice and rap ability.

Amy comes off as a put together pin up girl who lives in the 1940’s, with her red lipstick and done up hair styles. However, what comes out of her mouth is not what audiences would expect. Noonan, Amy’s band member says, “People look at Amy and expect her to be a straight-up pop singer, but she busts out a rap and she just slays it. I also think the attitude is what throws people, she completely embodies it.”

The couple met their freshman year at Berklee College of Music in Boston. They began releasing music together in 2010, while also becoming engaged that same year. The duo’s popularity grew when they appeared on the Ellen show to promote their music and YouTube page.

Amy describes their music as “swag pop.” She says, “It’s got a pop music base with a swag reduction, garnished with sprinkles of hip hop!”

Today, the group has recorded an album titled, Hello, which includes their hits, “Brokenhearted” and “I Told You So,” which are both climbing the charts on Billboard and iTunes top 100.

Karmin puts soul and passion into their music. They give a refreshing twist to pop music, something that will please everybody. Give the group a listen!
