Karmin

Many get their five minutes of fame by uploading their funny rap/singing videos to YouTube. Imitating their favorite rappers or some instances their least favorite, many have become Internet phenomenons. Though, few do not get further than the internet with their talents. But when it comes to the duo group Karmin, their success is beyond the internet fame.

Karmin was formed by Nick and Amy after they started writing songs together for classes at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Once they realized that Nick’s Jazz and Rock background meshed perfectly with Amy’s R&B and Pop background, there was no stopping them. They started performing together around the East Coast and writing songs of their owns along with singing other artists hits. They named themselves Karmin because in Latin it means song and they felt like their music had a unique sound to it. After many great performances and amazing reviews, they put out their first album, “Inside Out” in May 2010. The album has been raved about from grammy nominated song writers to artists that have their songs performed by Karmin.

Karmin’s unique style has the people of Boston excited to hear more from them and they look forward to supporting Karmin and their success. Watch Karmin cover Chris Brown’s “Look At Me Know” single here.
