American Idol" judges Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, and Steven Tyler

“American Idol” judges Randy, Jennifer, and Steven

Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler confirmed their spots as judges for “American Idol” 2012 back in May. Miss Lopez however, remained on the fence for a quite a while making public statements that she was “uncertain” about whether or not she wanted to continue with the show. You can rest easy now “Idol” fans because J-Lo has officially confirmed that she will remain on the judging panel.

Nigel Lythgoe, the show’s executive producer, made the announcement yesterday on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show saying, “I am delighted to say that all three judges, along with the brilliant host of ‘American Idol’ are back for the next season.”

Turns out Lopez may have just been negotiating her contract rather than pursuing other projects. According to TMZ, the singer will be making $8 million more than last season with a paycheck of $20 million.

I am so happy that the trio is sticking together. The dynamic that the three of them offer has lifted the show from the rut that it experienced in the past. Let’s just hope the contestants live up to the expected hype.
