There are, and have been, so many incredible women in Hollywood that are truly admirable. These women are iconic and have set the stage for what women should stand for. Whether they have exceptional style, talent, grace or humor; what they all have in common is that they believe in — women, and making the world a better place. These women are the people you should aspire to be like when you grow up!
Uhm, Beyoncé. Need I say more? I don’t feel like I have to, but nonetheless, I will elaborate. She is a beautiful person inside and out. Beyoncé is someone I look to if I’m ever feeling bad about my body. She is a strong woman with thick thighs and amazing curves that works what her mama gave her.
With songs out like “Run the World” and “Single Ladies,” she is super empowering to women, but she is also not afraid to show how ‘crazy in love,’ she is with her hubby Jay-Z. Bey has become a mega star based on her incredible talent, not her private life. She is a true diva.
Audrey Hepburn is my absolute favorite old movie star. Not only was she completely enchanting in all her films, but she was the epitome of class and elegance, not to mention a total style icon. Some of her most famous staples include the little black dress (see Breakfast at Tiffany’s), the white blouse, black skinny leg trousers and black turtle necks. She is someone that simply had a light about her that I think every girl would like to emulate.
Chelsea Handler is a woman I think of whenever I am taking life or myself too seriously. Handler isn’t afraid to laugh at herself along with the string of celebs she makes fun of. She doesn’t try to hide who she is in any way and she always tells it like it is. Also, Handler recently said something I loved on the show The Conversation. She said, “So many women are so competitive, and they’re so jealous, and they don’t realize that there’s a space for everybody. It’s not a comparison.” It doesn’t get much realer, or in my opinion, much funnier than this broad.
Now you may be thinking that these three women are completely different, but what they all have in common is that they empower women and they embrace themselves for who they are!
