Alberta Ferretti dress ($109) for Macy's Impulse capsule collection.

Italian designer Alberta Ferretti’s exclusive Macy’s line debuted yesterday in stores nationwide, but has already been available for purchase for a bit on Macy’s.com. The line is described by Alberta in InStyle as being, “fresh and bright, featuring light summer clothing that evokes the spirit of my beautiful country and is at the same time true to my style.”

Ferretti has been designing since 1973, so she’s long since established a distinct style and fan base. Her clothes are reportedly tailored for a “cocktail crowd” owing to the fact that her collections consist largely of dresses and sleek, elegant party wear. Celebrities that have been spotted sporting Alberta’s designs include Lea Michele, Kristen Bell, Emmy Rossum, and Amanda Seyfried. Disney darling Camilla Belle has also been seen several times in Ferretti’s dresses.

Printed Dress, $69; Lace-Trimmed Maxi Dress, $119; Teal Dress, $99

There are tons of summer’s hottest trends in this collection. She’s got floral pattern pieces, bright, neon colors like the Asymmetrical Dress in tangerine, and some knit work as well. Any of the pieces from this Macy’s line would work great for upcoming summer parties, a wedding, or a date. Some of the line is more casual and can be worn to less formal events like barbecues or pool parties too.

The line will be priced from $49 to $119. A bit pricey but not so much that’d you’d need to refinance your home to be able to sport some of these trendy pieces. Check out a sample of the clothes here at InStyle or for purchasing purposes Macy’s.com.
