Adele giving her all for NPR's Tiny Desk Concerts

Riding strong on the wave of her new album, 21, Brit sensation Adele brought her soulful singing to NPR’s “Tiny Desk Concerts this week.

Fleet Foxes, Patrick Watson, Iron & Wine and Phoenix have all been featured on this unique radio show.  On the show’s intimate set, Adele sang three of her songs, “Someone Like You,” “Chasing Pavements,” and “Rolling in the Deep.”

Her give-it-all performances are the backbone of her successes overseas.  She hit her American stride a few years ago after she appeared on an Saturday Night Live episode featuring Sarah Palin. A total of 17 million viewers tuned in, making it the best ratings the show had in 14 years.  Shortly after, Adele’s first album 19 topped iTunes and reached #11 on the Billboard charts.

The stride held through 2009, when Adele snuck up and took two out of four of her Grammy nominations for Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.

Tiny Desk Concerts is just another step of Adele’s 2011 media tour which has included singing at the Brit Awards. You can watch that heartfelt performance here.
