It’s time for all the ’90s girls out there to rejoice. Three of our favorite boy bands are coming together this summer for a tour. Yupp, that’s right! New Kids on the Block, 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men are teaming up this summer for “The Package Tour!”
New Kids on the Block (NKOTB) will be headlining the tour, which is set to begin on May 31 in Uncasville, Conn. The tour will last for the month of June before making its last stop in Minneapolis on July 13.
“The state of the boy band union is strong,” said Donnie Wahlberg. “Even though technically we’re not really boy bands, but we’re OK with that, so we’ll accept it.”
Wahlberg is right–boy bands are stronger now than ever before. With bands like One Direction, Big Time Rush and The Wanted succeeding, it’s the perfect time for past boy bands to make a comeback. Who cares if they’re technically not boys anymore? They’ll always be boy bands in our hearts.
That’s not all the new news, though! NKOTB also announced that they will be releasing a new single on January 28 called “Remix (I Like The).” Plus, they also have a new album set to release on April 2. With all of this exciting news, I honestly don’t know how to contain myself.
I’m most excited to see what 98 Degrees has to offer. They’re the youngest band on the tour, yet they’ve spent the most time apart as a band. They haven’t been together for a total of 12 years, which is totally 12 years too long. Better late than never, though, right? Now, if only we could get *NYSYNC back together… Seriously, how awesome would a Backstreet Boys and *NYSYNC reunion tour be? I’d be sitting in the front row, that’s for sure.
How do you feel about “The Package Tour?” Will you be ordering tickets? Are there other bands you wish would make a comeback? Let us know!Tags: 98 Degrees, boyz II men, kaitlyn vella, New Kids on the Block, NKOTB, the package tour
