Trouble in Paradise for Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson

Just two weeks after the heartbreaking news broke that actress Kristen Stewart had cheated on her long time boyfriend Robert Pattinson with married Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, the world of the two Twilight stars has undoubtedly turned upside down. Although the media lives for juicy celebrity cheating scandals, the Robsten scandal has exploded into one of Hollywood’s biggest stories right now. Here are the 5 latest updates thus far:

#1: Pattinson is still MIA and has managed to literally fall off the face of the earth since the news broke. Sources say he is laying low in London with friends and family, and we don’t blame him! BUT, Pattinson has reportedly been in and out of PR meetings with his publicity team trying to figure out the perfect way to respond to the scandal. The 26-year-old star has yet to comment whatsoever, so he needs to handle the situation perfectly or else things have the potential to go completely south.

Kristen Stewart and Rupert Sanders affair exposed

#2: It seems as if Sanders and his wife Liberty Ross, who ironically played Stewart’s mother in Snow White, are trying to work on their marriage despite the infidelity. Sanders and Ross were spotted out and about in L.A respectively, both still wearing their wedding rings. I guess Ross is trying to forgive her husband after his public apology that stated “My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying we can get through this together.”

#3: Reports from Us Weekly are saying that before finding out about the cheating, Pattinson was just weeks away from proposing to Stewart!! Apparently Pattinson had just purchased a $5 million house for the duo to call their official home together after he popped the question. Dina Sansing of Us Weekly states “Friends of Robert have told us that this was the woman that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, and he was actually very close to proposing when he heard about the affair”. I doubt these plans will be put into action anytime soon…

#4:  Prior to the cheating news, Stewart was living with Pattinson in his L.A. home. Right after the news broke, Rob quickly left the premises, but E! Online reports that two different U-Haul moving trucks were spotted leaving the house which could mean that either one or both of the stars have officially moved out.

#5: This scandal will most likely help boost Stewart’s career rather than tarnishing it. Pop culture expert Joe Piazza tells Celebuzz that this news could actually help Stewart reinvent herself. He says “this could be her Angelina [Jolie] moment. Angelina was always edgy, but after she stole Brad [Pitt] she was going to be the bad girl forever more. We already have started to see Kristen go toward darker roles. This could be Kristen’s rebranding of herself as that edgier actress, as that bad girl.”

Fans and Twi-hards around the world are torn between rooting for the couple and wanting Rob to leave Kristen. At this point in the situation, only time will tell what will happen next. Do you guys think Robsten should break up or stay together? Let us know!
